Click a shortcut to insert a template, fill in quantities and sizes, then Calculate. Remove any lines you do not want priced.
Export PDF includes the Southern Hospitality header, quote details, and full sell-price breakdown (cost + Margin). Prices are NZD ex GST.
Edit Cost Prices
Only David, Andrewk and Kevin can change costs. Upload their DSSC sheet or the downloaded CSV. Safe slips (quotes, POA, extra spaces) are cleaned; real mistakes are listed and the sheet is not loaded until they fix it.

How to use this calculator
This tool turns a stainless-steel item description into a sell price. Prices are ex GST. Sell = fabrication cost plus the standard margin.
1. Sign in
Create an account, then wait until a Southern Hospitality administrator accepts it. Until then you cannot calculate or save quotes. You stay signed in on this device until you sign out.
2. Fill the quote header
Project / Reference and Client appear on the PDF.
Notes are optional and also print on the PDF (for example “preliminary — subject to drawings”).
3. Enter the work
Paste a description from a schedule, or click a Shortcut to drop in a template.
Replace leftover x and empty mm with real quantities and sizes. Delete any bullet you do not want priced.
Write sizes as Size: 3600mm x 750mm x 900mmH (length × depth × height).
Quantities can be one (1), 4 x, 4 off, or words such as four.
Separate each job with a blank line. The calculator prices each job on its own, then adds them up.
4. Calculate
Click Calculate Sell Prices. The program reads each line, matches it to a price-list rule (bench, sink, legs, shelf, and so on), applies the margin, and shows a breakdown.
5. Read the breakdown
OK — the line matched and has enough size/qty to price.
CHECK — review it. Common reasons: size missing, no matching rule, or the item is POA (price on application, $0 until you decide).
The yellow Review Flags card is the number of CHECK lines. Fix the wording or size, then Calculate again.
Notes under a line (for example “Length missing”) explain the flag.
6. Save or send a PDF
Save Quote stores the quote for Southern Hospitality admin (tagged as you). It does not download a file. The saved quote and PDF show one line per item, numbered A01, A02, A03… in the order they appear on the page: the full description of what is included, and a single sell total — not a price on each piece.
Export PDF stores the same rolled-up quote and downloads a branded PDF.
Copy CSV copies the same one-line-per-item quote (full description + one total) for a spreadsheet — not the on-screen piece prices.
Clear empties the description box and results. Project, client, and notes stay.
Tips
Keep unused shortcut lines out — leftover “x sink” or “x legs” can still be priced.
Lines such as tapware, “by builder”, or “quoted separately” are ignored.
Curved benches get a 1.3 complexity factor on the benchtop length.
A short shelf under can hit a minimum charge.
This is the Southern Hospitality calculator. Only people accepted here can use it.
Cost prices are a shared Southern Hospitality price book. Only David, Andrewk and Kevin can upload or save costs. The upload checks the sheet: it tidies quotes/POA/spaces, lists checks, and will not load a sheet with conflicting or blank core prices.
